Programme profile
This programme prepares you for a management career in sport and health management, with an emphasis on physical activity and lifestyle.
You learn to put health on the agenda of individuals, organisations and society at large.You develop influental skills and manage sports-related projects and organisations but you are also capable of offering advice and coaching to others. These broad competences are reflected in the programme. Therefore, you will acquire a wide range of competences in subjects like policy, entrepreneurship and marketing, together with subjects such as human behaviour and physical activity.
Programme content
The first year of the programme consists of a basic programmme ( the first half year) and Managing Lifestyle in organisations & society (second half year).
The second year focuses on health-enhancing Physical Activity, as well as Changing Behaviour.
In the third year, you will develop your skils in Policy & Entrepreneurship and carry out your own individual research and final project (graduation project).
The course offers room for internship and there is ample attention to both your own national, as well as international, markets for the sports professional. An international internship is an important part of the programme.
